Guide: Star Trek Alien Domain Beginner's Guide
Star Trek: Alien Domain Beginner's Guide [CBT1]
Some of the stuff in this guide are outdated but most of the stuff are pretty much the same.- Weapon Equipping: Once you acquire a weapon you can equip it by clicking fleet > (i) button > then click 'pri' and then selecting the weapon on the right window that will pop out once you click on 'pri'. Also, this is the same method to equip a secondary weapon.
- Some fleet ships will require higher shipyard, but for the start ship which for UFP is a Constitution and I'm not sure what the Klingon starter ship is but these will probably need a shipyard of level 5 to repair. So one the more higher the ship the more possibility it needs a high shipyard level, but as of now I don't know all the requirements each ship will need for repairs in a shipyard.
- Also at the start of the game most of the User Interface won't be displayed until later on as your progress and level. So don't get alarmed think your user interface might be broken or something. I will post a screenshot below of pretty much the full UI of CBT Alpha Build with labels telling which is what and most will be self explained just by looking at it.
- You won't be able to colonize your 1st planet until level 15 and your 2nd plane to level 30. Each planet has it's own stats which usually display when you hover over it or click on it then click details. So be sure to check these carefully as some planet will produce less resources than others. You will also need to learn terraforming as it is needed to occupy planets. So remember to level up your terraforming research.
- As for your quest tracker at the type right of the quest tracker window there is a button that will open the full quest window which will display a little more information on the quest and its reward like how much exp you will receive from completing.
- As you start leveling your base/colonies' buildings the timer for their upgrade will increase the higher you go. You can either wait for the timer to finish or spend credits to have it auto complete. Also, you can speed up research by looking for a button with 2 arrows in it like this [>>] this will also cost you credit and the higher the level the more credits will be needed to auto complete.
- At the top right you see a gray out VIP above, you're character picture this will let you access the VIP shop window. This will allow you to purchase VIP or extend your existing VIP status. If your a VIP member already then you VIP thing above you're characters picture will be yellowish-orange. There also different levels of VIP 1 being the first level and VIP 10 is the max. I think this increase by how long you have been a VIP member for but I will confirm this later.
- At level 22 you will be able to select officers/captains for your ship. Each captain has their own type of ability which can up your ship stats.
- You can do elite stages which will give you experience, weapons, and ship blueprints, but weapons and blueprints are rewarded at random, they don't guarantee that you will get them.
- Also, your main base will always be in a safe zone and out of danger from enemy factions. Only colony bases will be available for attack by enemy faction. The same rule applies to them to when your attacking their colonies.
- Not Confirmed: Also, when colonizing a planet, there were reports that the more further you are away from the safe zone of the main base area the more better some planets resources are but of course this will also might make your colony base more open for attacks also.

This guide will be updated as I go along I will also add picture to it for more easier understanding. But everyone is free to post guides below this post that I might of missed.- Nov 2014

great work ;p
AD 11: for all 1-6 sectors planets are the same ( same types and resources )
Do not use 'phaser turret' weapon - it can glitch enemy ship ( his rate of fire is like 10-20 per sec )
Your ships dont lose hp permanently only in elite stages and exploration,
50% hp restored after encounters fights.
0% hp restored after colony raid/def and fleet pvp ( you can lose ship )Comment

not a bad guide. If I could give a suggestion, I'd add 'Accelerating the construction is always free for buildings as long as there's less than 5 minutes left on the timer'Comment

how long will a base stay levitated once activated and what is its function thanks.Comment
- Editing a commentIt will stay levitated until it reaches it new destination.
2. New Feature: Colonial Migration
a) Players can use items or credits to float their established colony base to a new location. You are unable to upgrade or obtain resources after levitating your colony base, until it has reached a new destination.
b) Colonies can only land on an empty unoccupied planetoid.
c) Abandoned colonies will become neutral planetoids without neutral monsters.

Hello,
(weapon reset)
I have Plasma Beam on Lvl 20 and tested the Weapon Reset.
Now I have following properties:
Attack: 158 (100-160)
Crit: 1 (1-1)
Hit: 3 (2-4)
a) It is possible to reach the maximum of all properties or is it more unlikely.
b) what's better, the maximum of hit vs. maximum of attack?Comment
